FROM THE MOUNTAINS OF TIROL TO THE HILLS OF THE CANARY ISLAND: TENERIFE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP 2020

Because of the current restrictions and requirements set by the official authorities in Austria, which also includes an order that no mass sporting events is to be held in the near future, the European Championshop has to leave the mountains of Oberndorf/Tirol to land in a new undiscovered destination: TENERIFE – Canary Island, on December 12-13 2020.

Tenerife is one of the primary island of volcanic origin that is part of the archipelago of the Canary Island – Spain. Hills, seaside, vulcany terrain will be only a part of the challenges that nature will offer in this picturesque scenario – of course beyond all obstacles that a self-respecting Spartan will put on the way!

Beating the Beast in Tenerife will become legendary not only because you will face the challenges of the European Championship, but also because Spartan will conquer for the first time ever that uncontaminated terrain. Tenerife will be a true test for Spartan elite and age group racers who have their eye on the 2020 European Champion title.
Whoever will finish the Tenerife Beast will be a hero for lifetime!

The authentic volcanic island is a perfect canvas for developing a rugged and signature course, under the Sun of Summer during the Winter time.
Whether you’re an elite or first-time racer, this is an event you shouldn’t miss. Anyone can register for the open heats, and also taking part of the Spain National Series racing the Super on Sunday. Not only. This event will bring all format together and you’ll have the chance to run an Ultra and potentially the Trail and bring your little Spartan to race with you at the Kids race.
